The KIWIs break their piggy bank to buy a caravan. They make food supplies: canned food, fruit and a jerican of water, then take off for an adventure. The caravan runs out of gas in the middle of the desert. Twiki pulls out a road map to study their location: they are in the desert of Mexico. While heating water for tea, Twini sets fire to a bush. To extinguish it he pours the contents of the water bottle, so the KIWIs find themselves without water. They walk, hoping to find help when they bump into a lizard (carrying placards on him like a sandwich man) who distributes a flyer. This is an advertisement for a nearby shop. They reach it and buy water, gasoline and beautiful sombreros.
